Just One Encounter...

Encounter women free the world

Can you imagine spending a weekend with no t.v., no cell phone and no contact with the outside world? Well, I had one of those weekends where I spent it totally seeking God. It was amazing! I was blessed to be able to attend a Women's Encounter in the mountains of Asheville, NC last weekend. In arriving there, I was met by a pleasant staff at the Ridgecrest Conference Center campus. The event was sponsored by Evangel Fellowship Church out of Greensboro, NC. Women from all over the country and the world were in great anticipation about this weekend and we weren't disappointed. I came to this Encounter because I had some serious issues and concerns that I wanted to bring before the Lord. I spent the entire weekend (Friday - Sunday) literally on my face before Lord and I was able to receive specific instructions that pertained to my life and my ministry.

Our "Encounter Guides" from Evangel were phenomenal and highly anointed women. In each teaching session held at Ridgecrest's Chapel, they taught and prayed under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I was set free. In one lesson about the power of cross, we were given 6 inch rugged nails. On the pulpit was this massive cross. We nailed all of our issues, generational curses, failures, soul ties and sins, etc. to the cross. When I looked at my nail and attempted to nail it to the cross and I began weeping excessively as well as the other women around me. I couldn't help but think that the issues that had plagued me weren't even worth it knowing that Jesus paid it all on the cross. I repented for everything and I truly believe that God has forgiven me and in turn has blessed me. It was like a parent telling a child to "Stop it". That's how I felt before the Lord, like He was saying, "Stop it! You know better than that". It was a serious rebuke but great love, grace, mercy, compassion and encouragement that He poured over me.

I praised and worshiped the Lord all weekend. Ladies were getting delivered all over the room and we praised and worshiped the Lord all over the chapel. There was a genuine spirit of joy in all of us. I received some profound revelation and now I waiting for it to come to pass.

Two last things I wanted to share was the fact that we took all of our issues that were written down and placed them in metal bucket outside. We burned it. It was awesome. We danced around the fire, singing and praising the Lord for the victory. When we returned Sunday evening to to church (Evangel Fellowship), they had a party for us. People (men and women) who had been on the Encounter were there to cheer us on as we crossed the finish line. They had the table spread with good food. We danced and hung out with our friends and family. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
