Jena 6

Wow! I wish I had made proper plans to join my NC A&T Aggies down to Jena, LA. But since I couldn't make it, I wore black to show my support. I'm sure you are expecting me to go into detail and comment on the entire Jena 6 case but I believe that ultimately truth always wins. I do believe that all the juveniles, white or black, should have been tried in juvenile court and not adult court. They should be treated fairly and the events in Jena today let the world know that we will not stand for injustice.

I was talking with a friend this afternoon, we commented on how so many co-workers, black and white, wore black today. It goes to show you that as a people we can accomplish anything when we put our minds to it. Can you imagine spreading word of mouth about having a rally to end the spread of HIV/AIDS in our community? Can you imagine if we take that same energy and assist in the rebuilding efforts in the Gulf Coast? Can we take this same energy and actively work to end gang activity, violence and drug use in our community?
