I'm curious...

I'm curious to know who are Imus's advertisers? Surely, Staples, Bigelow Tea and Proctor and Gamble are not his only money makers. Although Imus's comments were hurtful and offensive to black women and women in general, I feel that by him receiving only a two week suspension was a slap in the face of every black woman. The reason why they won't fire him is because he brings money to MSNBC and CBS Radio, after all, this is not the first time that he has made offensive comments about people. The only way these clowns get the picture is if you hurt them in the pockets, which is where their hearts are. When pressure is put on advertisers to pull their advertisements and when celebrities grow a backbone and don't appear on Imus in the Morning, then real change will occur. Imus should have been gone 20 years ago.

How is insulting the looks of one group of black women (the Rutgers team) and complimenting the looks of another group of black women (the Tennessee team) a slap in the face to all black women? Is it a law that all white men must view all black women as gorgeous? When did that become a part of the civil rights agenda?
