Today was day one in New Orleans and our work site was on Dogwood Avenue. Isn't that a lovely dogwood to the right of the screen? Arriving at the Uptown Station (UMC) in Downtown New Orleans took awhile since we naturally got lost. But once we got there, we met all the other teams who were so friendly. The team that we worked with was from outside of Chicago and are Jewish, team Am-Shalom. Their team was led by their rabbi which made for interesting conversation.
